Welcome to the Agriturismo
Nestled in the green hills of Lunigiana, the land of 100 castles, mushrooms and stele statues. This farm, called Montese, was born in 1988, as a result of the dream of an elderly lady who felt a bond with nature more than anything else. The warmth and solidity of stone, makes an old Tuscan farmhouse a place rich in history and tradition. A swimming pool surrounded by greenery, hectares of cultivated land, olive groves, pastures, streams, meadows and woods complete a fabulous place to spend a relaxing holiday.
Immersed in a land rich in millenary traditions
Right on the edge of the Agriturismo Podere Montese property, there runs the ancient path, the “ Via Francigena “, the famous road used in ancient times by pilgrims from the lands of Canterbury on to Rome. Even today, after extensive reconstruction work on the ancient route, this way is still travelled annually by hikers and pilgrims from all over Europe, who can retrace the same steps that led our ancestors to the capital. To contribute to a cleaner climate, in our own small way, we have installed a 98KWp photovoltaic assett.
The splendid outdoor swimming pool with hydromassage and varying depths, that allows the safe enjoyment for even the smallest children, perfectly integrated with the surrounding park, becomes a favourite refuge for those who love the comfort of an intimate relaxation corner in an exclusive setting.
Equipped with sun loungers and parasols, it is available from June to September.

We are waiting for you in a perfect setting of sounds and scents that the surrounding environment will offer you.
Inside the wellness corner, you will find a Finnish sauna, a Turkish bath and an emotional shower.
The Breakfast
The good day starts in the morning
Buffet breakfast is one of our strengths: in the common room we serve both salty and sweet, to be joined with coffees, cappuccinos and cooler drinks, such as fruit juices. We pamper you at the start of the day with natural and genuine fragrances and flavors: the right charge to go to the beach; enjoy the surrounding nature and or take a trip. An awakening among jams, freshly baked cakes, home-made cakes and, more, cold meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, yoghurt and much more!
Honey and Bees
A new discovery
Our passion for bees began during the lockdown period and so, we decided to start beekeeping. “From one plant to another, the bees carry the seed of life.” In our farm, we keep around 30 beehives, following the best blooms, and in our honey factory we extract honey directly from virgin wax combs using the ancient method of honey extraction. Our honey does not undergo any treatment for preservation, therefore maintaining the characteristics of the typical purity of country foods.
Pet Friendly Farmhouse
Don’t leave your pets at home! Our “agriturismo” also welcomes your four-legged friends, who can enjoy their holiday with you in an open, healthy and spacious environment. We love animals and like to welcome them into our accommodation at no extra charge. But dogs are required to wear a leash and carry a small bag for excrements. In your room you will find bowls on request for your furry friends.
